Im doing a project and I need to figure out how much it costs Toyota motors to produce a Toyota camry. Any help? If not, a list of all the parts needed for that car|||There are more than 3 million parts that go into a Toyota Camry. So it would be impossible to list them all.
To be honest I think they closest you'll come to actually knowing how much it costs to produce is to go to a dealer and look at their invoice. That's what they sell them to the Dealerships for.
All Automakers are pretty tight lipped on exactly how much it costs them to produce each car.

Is it true that a catalytic converter and exhaust manifold on a Toyota Camry are one part?
The catalytic converter on my 2001 Toyota Camry needs to be replaced. The mechanic told me that the catalytic converter and exhaust manifold are all one piece and can't be changed out separately on Camrys. Is this true? Or can the catalytic converter actually be replaced independent of the manifold?|||For 2001 Toyota Camry, the catalytic converter and exhaust manifold are all one piece.
That's why they can't be changed separately.|||There's two. First one is connected to the exhaust manifold (on the 4cyl). 2nd one is on the downpipe (or y pipe in a v6). Probably one on each manifold for the v6 but don't know to tell you the truth.
It can be replaced on the manifold but it's VERY tight so you'll have to ask the guy who's welding it if he can do it...unless you live in California then you need a factory part.|||If it's the V-6 it is all one piece, but a good muffler shop should be able to cut out the converter and weld in a replacement. From the factory though, it is one piece.|||Yes just one piece.
And that car is junque.
@ Toyota Obsession, please give me the rest of my thumbs down, PLEASE......

What kind of promotions has Toyota offered for Christmas in Canada?
Toyota promotions in Canada for the past two months have been kind of lame, should I expect something better in December? I'm looking to buy a RAV4. Any suggestions on the best time to buy?|||Toyota very rarely has any good promotions. They think their reliability sells the cars for them. It's the American automakers who struggle to sell all the cars they've produced and thus offer 'deals'.|||http://www.toyota.ca/cgi-bin/WebObjects/鈥?/a>

How much for a rebuilt engine and to install in a 1992 Toyota Paseo?
Hi, I have a 1992 Toyota Paseo and it needs a new engine. I was wondering if anyone knew where I can get a rebuilt or used engine made for this car and how much it would cost and cost to put it in. I live in Oklahoma if that helps any to find where i could get one.|||You have a few options:
1. used engine from a salvage yard (prob $500)
2. used engine from Japan (prob. a bit more, but still fairly cheap)
3. new engine from a site like engineguy.com (costs more but has 100k mi warrranty)
installation is basically the same for all (easiest w/ the new engine) - checkout ericthecarguy.com for some videos of him installing engines.

I am looking for a new or used battery plate and strap for my '92 toyota corolla. I tried ebay and searched online with no luck, can anyone help?|||http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/i鈥?/a>
This is where I get parts for my girlfriends car, they only sell authorized Toyota parts so they're the best quality and also they're discounted noticeably from what you would pay at a dealership. You don't have to pay any tax but you do have to pay shipping, so you always save money this way since the parts are cheaper.|||any dealer or Canadian Tire|||You might try the dealer (New)
or here--------%26gt;

Or try another wrecking yard close to hometown.

How long does it take to order a Toyota Prius?
My lease is up in mid September and ordered a Jeep Patriot, but they have no idea when the vehicle will be in. I am coming down to the wire. Do Toyota dealerships typically can a wide array of Toyota Prius models? I obviously dont have 5-8 weeks..|||Funny how all the VW fans come out of the woodwork whenever anyone asks about the Prius.
By the way: Fuel economy for the 2007 Prius is 48 city / 45 highway (regular unleaded), and for the 2006 VW TDI New Beetle it is 31 city / 40 highway (diesel). Identically the same numbers for the 2006 VW Golf TDI. That's using the *NEW* mileage test results from the EPA. So the gasoline Prius still beats the diesel TDI, both in city and on the open highway. [There are no 2007 VW TDI models, that's why I listed 2006.]
Ignoring that -- most Toyota dealers have a good selection of Prius cars these days, just waiting for you to walk in and buy one. If you want a specific color and specific options, you may have to look around to more than your closest dealer, or push your dealer to trade with another dealer. But if you start looking now, you shouldn't have any problem getting a Prius you'll be happy with by mid-September.|||I've heard that a few Toyota dealerships still have waiting lists for the Prius, but most have models on the lot. I bought mine in February, and drove away with it on the same day I went to the dealership.|||Priuses are plentiful near the San Francisco Bay area at least. the 08 version hits 60 mpg city and 55 highway, so when it comes to fuel economy it's way better then the VW.
But as far as wide array of different models, well, there really isn't any wide arrays of models except for standard package and one loaded with extras that makes your car feel like the future. (as in no performance package if that's what you where thinking)|||It depends on where you live and the dealer you buy from. The honest truth is that large volume dealers get cars at a higher priority than small dealers. But they tend to mark up cars more. But the Prius comes in a just two trims and most everything you coud want is included, so unless color is a huge issue, you should be able to get the Prius you want from the lot. If not, shop around.|||Get a VW TDI model. Hybrid is only better in traffic jam/large city as far as fuel economy.|||Depends on where you live, here they have toyoto dealership but they will detur you from buying a prius because they are eggheads. And don't dare ask for a brocure because im sure they don't have them.
tell them to give you a loner car until the car you want arrives.|||your toyota dealer that is in your town should have atleast one on the lot. so i would go to them.|||I bought my Prius in April 2005 the same day. Great car.

Toyota Camry factory made music system needs a usb installation and an ipod dock?
I have a 2009 Toyota Camry and i live in the gulf. My music system is factory made. I need to know if i can connect a USB to it and may be an ipod as well. Plzz reply and thxxx.|||You can use this one to connect an iPod to the original radio. It also gives you an aux input for other mp3 sources.|||Your out of luck with the factory stereo. Toyota started offering the USB in the 2010 models (LE and above) with the upgraded AM/FM CD with integrated radio which includes the USB port with iPod connectivity and bluetooth.
I hope this helps.|||The factory sound system that I just pulled out of a 2008 base model Camry lacked a USB interface or any aux input. That's why I pulled it out.|||The factory sound system that I just pulled out of a 2008 base model Camry lacked a USB interface or any aux input. That's why I pulled it out.
I would assume it's probably the same for yours.
