How does a Toyota Land Cruiser from the 80s perform on the road?

I am thinking about getting a Toyota FJ60 and was wondering how it performs on the road. I know off the road is amazing but I will be on road 90 percent of the time. I love land cruisers and really want one. But not sure I will like it if it is hard on the road. Please Help! Thanks guys!|||It's decent, albeit slightly bumpy. However, it is slow. Overtaking another vehicle is challenging at best. First gear is very low to the point that as soon as you release the clutch at a light, you will be in second immediately.|||@ Jeff

You are thinking of 4Runners and starting in 1986 they put IFS in.

The Landcruisers came with a Solid Axle until 1997 with the demise of the FJ80 in North America.

It does just fine. It's not a sports car. It's a Large SUV that's built to be tough. Sure it'll take you 13 seconds to get up to 60. But it's not dangerous or anything. It handles just like any other older SUV. Don't try to drive it like a Sports car and you'll be fine.
