How to clean the black strip thats runs along the side of toyota carolla doors, and window rubber?

I have a 2005, toyota carolla.

In the middle of the door, there is a horizontal black strip/bar that runs in middle of the door. It is across both doors on each side of the car. Its supposed to be black, but its gotten lighter colored and white on certain spots.

How do I clean it?

And what do I use to clean the outside window rubber? Same material as windshield wipers.|||On the black strip on the doors and wherever, do like the detailers do and use liquid black Kiwi shoe polish. Kust be careful and not get it on the paint. If you do wipe it off while it is still wet.|||It's probably not dirty in that sense. It may have deteriorated due to uv rays/ oxidation. Armorall or 303 will bring it back temporarily. Back to Black also works but it is sloppy to use and tricky.
