How much would it cost to change a 2004 Toyota Corolla's trasmission from automatic to manual?

Just wondering a price, found an 2004 Toyota Corolla S for around $9k, but I'm going to negotiate. It has around 88 miles. The only down side is I want a manual and its an automatic, but its the cheapest I can find for a Corolla S model in my area (DFW 75248). Any idea on ballpark price ranges for transmission conversions?|||Assuming you are using a used transmission...$1500 for the transmission, $2000 for new computer, $1500 for a new wiring harness, $2000 in labor...

You are WAY better off getting a manual from the factory.|||the manual transmission doesn't cost that much maybe around $1200 but the labor to remove the automatic and put the the manual in can be very costly and time consuming. It is best that you find a manual corolla and buy it. Unless you're changing it yourself then it's a different story.|||Take what they are asking for this car, then double it. That is that total you will have to spend on the car and the tranny swap.

If you want a manual, buy a manual. It NEVER pays to change out a transmission.|||get an corolla xrs man

corolla s are rare to find in manual

well also xrs

but more power

dont waste money converting|||bear in mind the firewall has to be cut and you'll need a new pedal assembly
