I am in Michigan but want to see a concert at the Toyota Center. Is it best to fly into Bush international and take a cab ?|||The cab will be pretty pricey down here.
If you have a friend who could give you a ride you should take them up on it.
It's about a 30 minute drive and the cab fare will probably be pushing $40-50.
If you could catch a shuttle to a downtown hotel (like the Hyatt or Double Tree) you might come out ahead.
Oh, one more thing. You could catch a ride on Metro. The bus lines run to the downtown area and the fare is only about $2. It will be a longer trip in, but much cheaper.|||Total distance is about 22 miles from Bush. It's a little closer to Hobby Airport if you've got a choice of airports. It'll probably take you 30-35 minutes, depending on traffic. Yes, a cab would be your best bet, other than renting a car yourself. There isn't much public transportation otherwise.|||Not sure where CK got her numbers from, but it will take you 30-40 minutes to get from Bush to the Toyota Center, which is located downtown.
I would agree that Hobby airport is much closer, but the only major carrier there is Southwest.|||You could look for a shuttle service but MOST go to just the fancy hotels. DO try http://supershuttle.com. If worse comes to worse a cab is your best bet. At least you're not driving lol.|||Hobby is closer to downtown but Bush is the bigger airport. If at all possible, you should rent a car in case you'd like to do something other than go downtown.
