How much will it cost for a turbo in toyota corrola?

I just had a brand new engine put in my toyota corrola. I want to add a turbo to it. What kind of turbo would i need and where would i get it. I would like to know the amount to and if there are any extra accessories i need. I just want to improve horsepower about 50. Nothing major. So a cheaper turbo would be fine. Also want to add a duel exhaust would this give more horsepower and the price on that.|||A brand new engine?? Do you mean it was rebuilt or bought as used. You can add a turbo to that engine. The Toyota MRS used the same engine, and turbo kits were made for that engine. With a good shop and some fabrication; you should get it to work well in your Corolla. You are looking for quite a bit of power and increase of 50 hp is major for any car. A cheaper turbo may not be reliable for what you are looking to get. Call some reputable tuner shops and they will probably tell you the same thing. For that amount of power increase you will probably need to strengthen the internals of your engine...(unless you had it rebuilt with strengthened internals such as aluminum pistons and rods, and head work already...) You will probably need an intercooler and a lot of dyno time to get the power you are looking for. A turbo kit alone will cost around 2-3 thousand. But the labor and tunning will cost a lot more than that.





A dual exhaust will probably hurt your car's performance. A dual exhaust actually lessens power in many lower hp cars. Plus the added weight... You will get better flow dynamics with a single 2.5 inch exhaust.





A lot of small shops will just throw on cheap exhaust tubing....believe it or not toyota has been using stainless steel in their exhaust systems for a long time. They don't look like it but they are...they don't rust off like older systems. If you want a good exhaust then keep that in mind and also have a good shop do it. FUEL DELIVERY, ENGINE, EXHAUST ARE JUST SOME OF THE MANY THINGS YOU NEED TO TAKE UNDER CONSIDERATION FOR THIS KIND OF PROJECTS, SMALL TURBO TDO5H FROM AN ECLIPSE WILL WORK FINE. 2.5'' IN EXHAUST WILL BE MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR JUST 50 HP.
