What are your thoughts on the current Toyota situation?

What are your thoughts on the current Toyota quality crisis? Has it changed your view of their reputation for quality manufacturing? Would this stop you buying a Toyota in Future? If you own a Toyota are you considering changing? How have you found their service during the recalls etc?|||The truth has finally caught up with them. Back in the 70's people were hungry for something "different" since the only options were American and European companies both of which made the best vehicles in the world. Then along came Toyota and it was offered as a low cost alternative and it was the "different" people were looking for but they confused different with "better". This is like the goat that thinks the grass is greener on the other side of the fence so always tries to get their. The gullible maintained that Toyota was better only because it was and is different but in actuality no Japanese company has ever caught up to European or Americans for safety %26amp; quality.|||"What are your thoughts on the current Toyota quality crisis? Has it changed your view of their reputation for quality manufacturing?





Why would it? Every company runs into problems eventually.

Why would it? If they have problems now, then they're simply going to have to work very hard to impress us all in the future. Which means their product will only IMPROVE. If anything, it will encourage me to buy from them in the future.

That's pretty stupid to ask. The current Toyota situation has nothing to do with their previous cars. Why would I change a car that has ran great for 15 years, when a few cars have issues?





How have you found their service during the recalls etc?





Never had to have one of their cars recalled. 99% of their products are amazing.|||They were making cars so fast and making tons of money, they don't care about us Americans or our safety. The head of Toyota was very smug in his interviews and wore a mask because he didn't want anyone to see his face. In my opinion, anyone that buys a Toyota is worst than the head of Toyota! Send them a message, buy any American car or truck!|||Hey...viperassain has a point

I won't stop buying a Toyota...I will stop buying any GM vehicles....(cannot trust them just like OBAMA)|||Yes, it's changed my view of their quality; it's even worse than I evr thought it would be. How have you found their service during the recalls etc? Dunno.|||I have a Toyota...their customer service is brilliant...well in my experience





Took the car for the pedal inspection...they told me that it would take 2 hrs, but ours took 3 days because they actually found the gas sticky situation in our Camry





They simply replaced it with a Denso pedal.





We found no problems in our vehicle overall.





Now we're getting ready to buy A Toyota Prius next year because our son is going to college, he needs a car and we need another one.





We Trust Toyota, we don't trust media, and you should do the same!|||A company can cut corners with safety and quality, and hide the truth, for only so long before it catches up to them. It's caught up to Toyota big-time.
