Why does Toyota Corolla 2011 XLi 1.8 engine fan only start working when air condition is turned on?

I've bought new Toyota Corolla 2011 XLi 1.8. It's engine fan remains off all the time but temperatures remains normal. It's engine fan only start working when air condition is turned on. It is a problem or normal fan behavior?|||This is normal. The fan is on to circulate are through the rad, and when you are standing still in traffic it seems the A/C is a little warmer and this is because there is no air moving through the Rad, but when you start moving the air moves through the rad and cools it so the air cools in turn. But yes, this is normal, since the fans are electric, there are no belts turning the fan, is it is only needed when the A/C is on, but if you idle for a long time in hot weather you will see the fans come on in that situation as well. They are meant to keep hot air from entering hot air from the engine back into the intake. The engine needs coolant and cool air to not over heat, this is long, But yes, this is normal.|||Normal behaviour in today's cars. The engine comes under extra load when running the air so the

fan comes on to cool the engine. It will also come on automatically if you are stuck in traffic and

the engine gets hot. Otherwise normal airflow through the rad will keep the engine cool enough.
