What is the best way to become Toyota mechanic to work at a Toyota dealership?

I have no mechanic experience and live near Los angeles and becoming a Toyota mechanic is my dream.|||community colleges is the best way to go.


It's a lot cheaper than technical schools %26amp; cover same amount. Also u can get associate's degree too.


I'm a mechanic working for Toyota and that's how I became one.


Lots of my co-workers came in here the same way.

It'll take about 2 years though but still lot less than technical school and get same training.|||Attend school at Wyotech (Long Beach) or UTI (Rancho Cucamonga) for their auto mechanic course, approximately 12 to 15 months. Then apply for the specific Toyota training before you finish. Toyota will select above-average students from these programs and send them to further training at UTI in Goodyear, AZ (Phoenix).|||apply for apprentice positions at any auto repair place .Once you are started on that (ie after 6-12 months) then start applying specfically to Toyota shops(if u r not already at one). In the meantime any experience is good experience and general repair shops will work on toyotas and a lot of other makes as well|||Go in to a dealership and ask about it. They have the info. One thing I do know---ANYONE working at a dealership has got to be ASE certified---and own their own up to date tool boxes full of tools. You leave the job--you take your stuff with you.|||Sounds like you already have enough experience right now, but you read and write English too well.|||The way things are going for them, you'd either be the busiest mechanic in town, or out of a job.|||Dusty said it all go Dusty
