How do you open a Toyota Sequoia hatch door that has a broken handle?

I have a 2002 Toyota Sequoia. The handle for the back hatch door broke. There seems no way to open the back hatch door now. I don't know how to open the cover from the inside so I can get to the mechanism from the inside. Can someone offer some advice?|||try opening it from the inside|||That is a toyota defect, take it to any toyota dealership that services toyotas, and theyll replace it for the entire life of the car. use the back power window if you must, but i know no way of opening it from the inside. We have a sequoia and replaced the trunk part 3 times in 170000 miles
